Steeler in Ricky Scaggs "Country Boy" video?

Post by Wayne Carver »

This is one of my favorite videos. Anybody know who the lap steel player is? Or any of the other pickers and guest. I recognize Bill Monroe and Mayor Koch.

It's been awhile since I've seen the video, but I'm pretty sure it was Bruce Bouton.

The steeler in the "Country Boy" video is Bruce Bouton with the lap steel. He was Ricky's steel guitarist in the eighties. Brett Day, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel

I'm pretty sure that, by the time that video was made, Ricky was playing electric himself (although it's acoustis lead on that song) - Ray Flacke had been 'let go'.

Albert may have been in the film but wasn't on the record.
