Check out these BIAB Songs / chords & melodies

Post by Doug Beaumier »

BIAB Users:

I recently put together some CHORD BACKUP tracks for my steel guitar students using BIAB. These songs include the Melodies as well as the chords. The student plays Chord Backing on steel guitar.

These were done on BIAB 11, with the extra package of styles. I think they call it the MegaPack, or something like that. I'm wondering how these files translate to other versions of BIAB, versions with the basic styles only, or versions with the optional styles, etc.

Please click on the links below, Save the files to your Desktop, and see if they play for you. I'm curious to know. I'm also curious to know if the levels of the instruments are mixed properly or if all instrument voices open at full volume and have to be reset by the user. Thanks, DB

Doug, I have version 10 of BIAB and when I tried to open Amazing Grace, I got an error message that said it couldn'd find style C_WLZMED.STY. It had a different style, I think it was the last one I had used, and played it with that style. I bet one of the more BIAB experienced forumites will have a solution to this problem. Thanks for posting the tunes.

Thanks Bob, I think if you pick any other Waltz style it will play. The extra styles Pack and the VSC really improve the sound quite a bit. thanks again.
[This message was edited by Doug Beaumier on 18 March 2004 at 01:52 PM.]

Doug,
I saved them, and they work great! I appreciate these very much. If you have more that you would like to share, I would certainly appreciate them. Thanks again,
Ron

I have V10 megapack. I guess the files are not backwards compatible. Actually all I get when clicking on your link is the text files from BIAB. Oh well.
