6-stringers: save yourself some $$$

Post by Brian Davis »

Just picked up some simple tools to perform my own 6-string setups. Sure beats going to the shop at $40 a pop. Essentials include a fretboard radius gauge, digital hygrometer, and this cool string action gauge or a 6" metal rule. If you own a few electrics like me, this is good stuff, especially if you have a floating bridge and what-not. Pretty good prices, too.

Another cool tool is the book called "How To Make Your Electric Guitar Sound Great." It helped me alot when I was setting up my Tele.
