Post by John P. Phillips »

Been trippen down memory lane, listening to some old Marvin Rainwater music. (now there is a good country singer)
Some beautiful steel work on "Gonna Find Me A Bluebird", anybody recall who the steeler was on that record ? Let's scratch our heads a little on this one. I'm sure somebody knows ! THANKS !!!

Hi John,
It is Jimmy Day on the record. I've always wondered if it is Marvin Rainwater himself doing the whistling on there. Jason

Jason! Although I've played for Marvin a jillion times, I'm not sure if he was the whistler on "Bluebird" You can give him a holler, & find out! here's his e-mail> rainbird@emily.net
[This message was edited by Al Udeen on 25 November 2003 at 12:07 AM.]
