Anybody heard of Rodger Wilhoite??

Post by Smiley Roberts »

A friend, from Sweden, was inquiring about an album,by Rodger Wilhoite, probably done in the late 60's or early 70's. He may be from Ohio. The album was produced by Carl French.
Since Lloyd played steel on it,he remembers it very well. The name of the album is,"The 'Social World' Of Rodger Wilhoite". Anybody got anymore info on it? (BTW,its a GREAT Country album.)

......Not until you played the ENTIRE album over the phone and it was MY dime we were talking on! Like Smiley said, it's pure "gut bucket" country! Image

If it's the same guy, he played in the Cleveland, Ohio area in the '70's - as I recall, he had a good country backup band. It was probably the first band that I heard locally with pedal steel.

You don't think Smiley would pay for a phone call , Do you?

I have it from a good Source that he's saving his money up for the
Smiley For President campaign next year. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_4_105.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_4_105.gif' border=0></a>
