I just got done watching the inaugural concert of the LA Symphony at the new Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on PBS. Don't know if you guys outside of California will get this on your public broadcasting stations, but all I can say is WOW, Bravo, spectacular!!! I sometimes forget what a great instrument the symphony orchestra can be until I'm reminded by something fantastic like this. A much needed inspiration for me! Walt woulda been proud!

Earnest...I was unfamiliar with John Adams until last night's show. That piece was the one with the Zeta looking fiddle guy right? I liked it ok...not as much as say...the Firebird, but it was interesting. I can't imagine what the score must look like for something like that. Are those guys actually counting throughout that thing ??? That's another universe for me.
