ANOTHER great new COUNTRY record!

Post by Steve Hinson »

Speaking of great new country records-here's another one-"Now It's Empty"by Randy Kohrs and the Reel Deal-it features John Hughey on steel and James Mitchell on electric guitar...it's GREAT!There are several old George Jones songs from his Mercury years,as well as some originals by Randy...he's a great singer and a fabulous dobro player.I don't have an e-mail address for Left of Center Records(his label)...it I can find out where you can get one,I'll post it in Buy and Sell...Steve******NEWS FLASH******randykohrs.net-you can order it there...support the arts-buy this record!

I listened to two cuts off his web site. I like the retro recording style. Very authentic 60s sound. Hey, it's even in "stereo". Image
[This message was edited by erik on 30 June 2003 at 06:16 PM.]

erik, the cover of the CD looks like a 60'S album too...I really like the sound of that record-the brushes and the upright bass never overpower the guitars and fiddle...and John Hughey and James Mitchell are playing stuff that fits right in with the spirit of the record...I think if enough people buy records like this one and Anita Anderson's"The Way It Used to Be",we could see a lot more stuff like this recorded! It may be a little more trouble to purchase, but it's worth it!Support the arts!
