Vince Gill - 'The next big thing'

Post by clive swindell »

Does anyone have the chord progression that features in the turnaround and instrumental of Vinces new song?

There is a version on Cowpie which gives it as 1/2/3b/3/1 but it doesnt just sound right to me.

Those four chords in the ascending line in the piano solo are simply E, F, F# and G (in D major) - is that the bit you meant?

The bridge section:

G---/A-D-/G---/A-D-/A---/F,F#/G---/----/D etc... (that F & F# is a 2/4 bar).

Thanks Roger

I will try it again this evening and let you know on Monday.

I managed to catch Vince and Jay Dee and the band doing a live show in Dallas two weeks ago. They opened with what must have been a 15 minute version of 'One more last chance' - good stuff!

OK Roger - that works. I was walking up from the 1 to the 3 whereas it is a walk from the 2 to the 4.
