I enjoyed the Opry last night. It was great to see the artists paying tribute to a legend. It must be nerve wracking to have the man staring at you while you sing one of his songs!
Kenny Chesney can really sing country when he has to. All, in all, It was a great show!!

YES; it was a great tribute..I can't imagine singing one of his songs with him sitting right there in the front row!!.Talk about pressure!!..I thought it was very interesting
that all of the big name stars who did sing did a great job doing his songs BUT George himself gave a standing ovation to Jim Lauderdale(not a big name like Kenny; Allen or Lee Ann) > that must be the greatest tribute Jim has ever received from his hero!!
Poor Alan Jackson needed more monitor on "Golden Ring"!
[This message was edited by Kenny Davis on 29 December 2002 at 09:25 AM.]

I would sure liked to have heard Alan Jackson sing the tune he did on the Bradley Barn Sessions CD called "Good Year for the Roses". That was the best tune on that CD for sure. If you don't have a copy of it you should score one ASAP. What's really weird is that Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones actually sings a ballad on there with George and does a good job.....JH
