Onstage Nightmares
Thought it might be fun to share some onstage nightmares.
I just got home from a gig. Usually when my band takes a break, I get up and play a solo set. I had friends there, so I got out my Weissenborn and went into Cream's "Politician". After the second verse, the high string broke. I managed my way through the song and then went to replace the string, but the string broke at the endpin and the endpin had popped out - nowhere in sight! Even after we packed up, I never found it on the stage. I never thought to carry extra bridgepins. It was quite a bummer.
So anyone have some good onstage stories to share?

No, but I just woke up this morning from an actual nightmare in which I was about to go onstage for a solo show and when I sat down at the steel and looked at my set list... I didn't recognize any of the song titles! Actually, it was worse than that: I had made the setlist up using new software and the software didn't even print the songtitles; it just printed the names of the song writers/composers, and I didn't recognize any of them! Showtime!
<font size=1>(Too bad my wife woke me up before I could see how this movie ends; now I'm kinda curious if I woulda played "Bud's Bounce", "Mansion on the Hill", "Steel Guitar Rag" and "Sleepwalk"! LOL!)

Well I was hoping for some more amusing onstage nightmare stories, but if we're talking about naked stage stories. I did have the pleasure of playing on Fat Tuesday in Boulder Colorado, and the women were jumping on stage giving kisses and exchanging beads, not to mention a couple that pulled up their shirts for the crowd. I don't consider that an onstage nightmare though - more like a dream come true.
