Amazing Jeannie shepard still knows how to put together a great band. And she still can put on a show and sing with the best of them.I got a kick out of her comment she'd like too stick around a lot longer if Steve will let her. Say it like it is Jeannie you always did. Ole Roy Acuff would have turned over in his grave at the rest of the crap that followed her, but her tribute to Roy at the end was also a nice touch of class.Happy anniversaries (all three)Jean and Benny. Many more.

In behalf of "Jean Shepard" and all the "Second Fiddles" we really appreciate the kind words. As always it is a treat for us to play the TV portion of the Opry.
You may find it interesting that must of us have been with Jean a long time. Robert Crigger/piano 20+ years, Gen Dickerson/guitar 12 years, myself/10 years, Greg Hutchins/drums 5years, and the newest member Rick Francis/bass around the 2year mark now.
Thanks again...it's nice to know someone is watching!

Dave

I second the motions from Leigh and Joe. Great job by the band. Even though I like the other acts that were on with you, I thought it was the best part of the show too.

Bruce,
thanks very much, I really appreciate it. It's a tough job when you've got TOMMY WHITE and the "Opry Staff Band", as well as so many other great players, standing around watching and waiting for their turn.

Dave, your playing is always one of the main highlights of each Opry show, for myself and I'm sure all the forum members. Your work behind Jean's vocals is always excellent and when its time for a break or to switch to another song in a medley you really come in strong! Thanks again!
