I'm sure that Donna Hammitt and Wayne Dahl
will play exactly what is needed with their artists.

What ever happened to all the comments, that we used to get,"before & after" regarding the Opry? I thought it was one of the better parts of the Forum. I guess, not enough people have CMT? Yes, I know there's a lot of so so stuff on it, but we've got Tommy & a lot of other good players most of the time,& a gal that can get a good shot, If they let her! kr

The folks who run the Opry still don't get it!!! Bill Anderson who plays traditional country music was the only act that got a standing ovation and they still try to pass the other crap on to the audience.

Yeah, that MSA looked great with that matching cherry red pedal bar and sounded great on the radio broadcast (which can be heard every week HERE. Donna provided some great work as usual, and I did like the rocked up version of "Harper Valley PTA" with some really nice work from Wayne and some nice close up camera work, too. The forgettable power ballads from Martina and her 'mini-me' were the low point of the show.

I was there, backstage, last night. It was all in all a good show.
Tommy did sound good on the new MSA, but remember he sounds good on every guitar he plays.
Johnny Cox also played Tommy's new guitar behind Connie Smith. He also sounded like Johnny, magnificent.

Donna did her usual excellent job, Wayne sounded good on the Tom T. song. A first-rate resonator guitarist would add zest to Ralph's music. Great shots of the steel artists and Clint's resonator guitarist-thanks Theresa, for your great job, as usual!

Kyle got it right when he asked what happened to these Opry posts. I too stopped reading them when they got to be sameo, sameo ! But I see I was wrong and won't make that mistake again. There is a lot of steel information in this thread and like AS; I'll be back !! Sorry for the lack of an accent there but my keyboard is really old !!

Regards, Paul

Ralph, like Bill Monroe, doesn't care for the Dobro. But I still love him!
