The Country Ramblers in Texas????

Post by Red Kilby »

Hi everyone, does anyone out there remember a group called the Country Ramblers around 1960 or 1961 they played all over Texas, but mainly at The Boots and Saddles club in San Angelo .
A couple of the Members were Donnie Duncan and Charlie Timm.

Does anyone have any stories about this group????

Yeah Red, I would know about that. It would have been "Charlie and Donnie and the Country Ramblers". Donnie Duncan on guitar and vocals, Charlie Timm on fiddle and vocals, Larry bucks on lead guitar, Wayne Grant on drums, Marilyn Massey on piano and yours truly, Don Ricketson on steel guitar. Charlie sives in the Junction Tx. area and still plays some. Donnie lives in West Pueblo Co. and him and his wife Wanda plays regularly. I can give you his address & ph.# if you haven't already ran into him. Wayne and Marilyn have passed away and I'm not real sure of Larry. Me, I'm still playing and having fun Image...Don.
