Just the facts:
Gene Watson sings great in person.
He has had several check-ups since his surgery and is cancer free.
He has a new label, new manager, and a new CD coming out.
He is very laid back and personable on stage and he jokes with his audience.
It was a great show!!!!

That's all true!
I saw him in the Cincinnati area a few months ago, and it reminded me that I had some great GW releases on cassettes. So this past weekend I dug some of them out since I don't have a CD player in the garage and my cars needed waxing. Everything was going fine and I was thinking how much better my music is that what radio offers today. Cutting to the chase: The old tape player in the garage won't play and, what's worse, it won't eject my Gene Watson tape.
After I suffered through about 10 minutes of country radio, but life got better when I realized that my cars each have tape players that have never been used. They've been used now!
My only complaint on the GW tour was that he only did "Take Me As I Am" off the new album. I sure would like to have heard a couple more cuts from that one (From The Heart).
