Babik Rheinhardt, Djangos Son, died on November 12 in Cannes, at the age of 57.
Babik, who perpetuated the tradition of "Jazz Manouche" had a hard time gettin away from his Fathers Shadow.
He was about to play in Cannes w: Christian Escoudé + Jean Marc Jafet.
the gig was played in hommage to Babik.

He didn't live too much longer than his dad, did he, CrowBear? Pity ....

There will never be another Django.

Sad news. I've heard Babik's music on a video I have that culminates at the annual Django Fest at Samoir sur Seine, in France. Babik had a nice, soulfull style of his own but very different from his Dad's. Django was a hard act to follow.
