Country Music "Bill Ellis Style" is a new country show held every Thursday night at the Bill Ellis Convention Center in Wilson, Nc; the show leans towards traditional country music - has dancing, but no drinking/smoking policy; starts at 7:45; believe it or now, Super Grit Cowboy band is the house band, with super picker Clyde Mattocks on steel, dobro, banjo, lead, (and whatever else he can find), plus some lead vocals. Great female vocalist Nancy Dail is also on the show; highlights thus far: bass player, playing bass, piano, and singing at one time, take off on "O'brother, where art thou", half the membership if the Mid-Atlantic Steel guitar Assn applauding on every steel break, and Nancy Dail's great rendentions of "Satin Sheets" and "Honky Tonk Angels" - got hear and see it to believe it. Hope to see some of you pickers there...
