Quite literally...
On Brian Eno's Apollo album; the usual ambient droney, harmless stuff, but with tonnes of really unusual, atmospheric pedal steel.
What's fascinating is it's played in a very different way from how we expect to hear; not a single cliched lick.
It can usually be picked up cheap (certainly here in UK) and is well worth a lesson. great to fall asleep to, too.
Oh yeah, the music is a soundtrack to a documentray of the Lunar landings; eno heard from the original astronauts that the tapes they took with them to space were all country music -- hence the use of PSG .
Anyone else out there familiar with this?
Cheers
