George Strait Concert on CMT

Post by Ron Whitworth »

Did anyone here happen to catch the George Strait Concert(2 hrs long) that was on CMT after the Opry tonight??..It was from Tampa Florida-i think.A real good show just like you was at a live concert!!.He featured the members of his band on a LOT of the songs too
He even did a few of those GREAT Texas Swing
tunes!!.It was all in all a very GOOD show for CMT to do.....Ron

I saw most of it. After seeing it I guess I should have gone to the concert, but it was an all day affair and some of the acts didn't interest me.

Too bad they didn't show Alan Jackson too, as he was on the concert with him this year. (Maybe it was the 2000 show instead of the 2001 as they had the George Strait "Caravan" or whatever they call it here last year too).

Ron ,
I was lucky that I had an afternoon gig Sat. so I got home at a reasonable enough time to catch most of the CMT show . It was a fine show and I hope that CMT finds others like it to play in the future .

Ron -- I have very good friends ( Joe and Joan King ) who winter in Yuma and love to dance !!! If you would tell me where you play in Yuma, I'll tell them . Maybe you could gain a couple of new customers for the place .
