Pretty good night.
Pee Wee Rogers seemed to be in great form behind Jimmy Dickins.

Carolyn Dawn Johnson seemed comfortable on stage etc

Holly Dunn and Rhonda Vincent ok

As for Ray Price most of you guys would love to sing that well at half his age. I could not tell if it might have been Steve Polasik
behind him but he did use C6 on Better Class Of Losers

A great night! Little Jimmy Dickens is a showman and has a great band. Holly Dunn was having trouble singing in tune but still did OK. Carolyn Dawn Johnson was fantastic! Yes Theresa, she was good, sang good looked good and had a good choice of material. I noticed they moved Hoot out from behind her and to her side so he wouldn't be tortured by having to look at her bbbbback! Image Rhonda Vincent had to be my favorite, even over Ray Price. This girl was indescribably great!!!! Her band is just as good as she is and her fiddle player is the "Tommy White of fiddle players" which interprets into as close to the best as you can come!!! Ray Price is CLASS! Nothing more needs to be said other than he is as great now as he was 35 years ago.

The format has changed for the better. The new girl announcing is very good at what she does and sees to it that very little is missed on stage.

All in all, this was a very good evening at the Opry. Theresa, it is going to be hard to disagree with this post because I know you liked the show also, you had to! Just remember, the words "I agree with you Mike" won't hurt too badly to type! Image

Lastly, there is seldom anything said about the camera shots during the program but I have to say that they are always great and seemed even better tonight for some reason. We should all thank Teresa White for most, if not all of the great shots taken tonight. Just one question, who was the big guy playing the blue "D" steel? He kinda almost sorta just about nearly somewhat abosolutely did a great job. Image

That's all I have to say for this week so "Take it away, Theresa"!!! Image

I really enjoyed the Opry Tonight! Rhonda Vincent was outstanding! And her Fiddle player was fantastic!! More music on tonight also!! Boy, I really love it when they let the Opry be the traditional Icon that it is!!! Image

I wonder if that Banj% player can play steel at that tempo? He should of got a ticket for that! Better than usual show, except for Holly Dunn! Mercy!

Tommy White was awesome (see my post in Steel Players). I enjoyed everthing else except the b@nJ° band, which had no redeeming characteristics to my ears. Image

It was great to see Ray Price again.

Pretty good show that had a good variety mix that should have pleased all taste. Not too much to complain about ,no one bats a thousand lets say they hit a cool 750 sat night.

Bobby, I don't know how you could not like Rhonda Vincent and her Bluegrass Band that was on Saturday night. I know that you and I both like the sound of a good steel guitar, but even without a steel, this group was great to say the least.

I just don't care for acoustic music much, Jerry. The musicianship was good, but it's not a kind of music that I enjoy. Plus the banjo sort of ruins it for me. It gets on my nerves.
