Lloyd Green
I'm told that the first "hit" where Lloyd received pay on a recording, he did not play a musical instrument and he did not sing. This recording was by a male who is still a member of the Opry.

Finally! A Lloyd Green lick I can play! All he did was a pick scrape after the line "The sleepy headed painter said the girl wasn't real and you better get the (pick scrape sound) on the way".

Lloyd didn't do any pick scrapes at ISGC... he was awesome.

HERB!
Rarely do I laugh out loud when reading the forum. When I read your reply
"Finally a LG lick I can play...I just let out!!"
Good call.
Here is a pic of me working for Del....and yes I put the pick scrape in but unlike the TAB above I used the tenth string (E9).
See ya
Tim
