Well hey ya'll; yeah CMT finallly picked up the Video and plopped it in the "Stone Country" Section.
Hey Brother Davis; I told them guys to make sure you get "this" steel in the shots; because it is Jimmy Days' original Blue Darlin' ShoBud Permenant. But the idiots only had the top view in there during my solo section.....ha.....
My good friend Kevin Owens owns this guitar and let me use it for the video.....and if you look closely you can see Kevin playing the Piano in that video.....
It was an honor to put Jimmy Days' Blue Darlin' in that situation and I would have played it on the Opry; but Kevin was out of Town.....before I could get together with him.
Ricky
I'll have to put out a DW alert for my teenage daughter to watch for him on GAC. My cable doesn't provide CMT anymore; unless its in a higher priced package that I ain't about to buy.
Nice idea Ricky.
I was visiting my brother in NY a few weeks ago. He played me his brand new -- old --DW CD; think he had another one on order. He's been telling everyone about Dale since he was down here and I played him the "I Hate These Songs" CD.

Hey Ron; tell your brother a big thank you from us; on passing around Dale Watson music...mighty nice of him and you for the nice solicitations.
Don't know when we will be up there pal. I only know whats on the website tourdates; and don't see that area up there for a few months. We are heading to Europe and such on the 25th of Sep and back at end on Oct. after that it can be anything so keep an eye on the tour dates.
Ricky
Ron - beings though I'm now straight down from you in Lexington... next time Dale, Ricky, and the fellas hit Lynagh's here in town you'll have to come down, be glad to have you stay over at our place and such.
Ricky, seems from past history you guys usually make a stop at Lynagh's when swingin thru here - really is a great place, I've already caught The Derailers there since I been here and see they are booked back in Nov 2nd. Brian and Tony love the place, they really "pack 'em in" for those twin teles and Marty Muse steel!!! - Neil H.
I introduced my brother to Dale's music about a year ago by playing him my "I Hate These Songs" CD.
Well it paid off nicely. Just last week I received two new (old) Dale Watson CD's - Cheatin' Heart Attack and Blessed or Damned. My brother thought they'd make a nice birthday present. Nailed it!
Neil, when did you move to Lexington? You need to change that forum profile. Are you aware that they do a steel show in Lexington every year? Fred Layman has probably posted something on the announcements board. I'll probably make it down for at least a day.

PS: Must have misread the profile, Neil. I see it does say Lexington.

Ron - you bet, I've been here in Lexington for just a month or so. I did see Fred's post in "events" about the steel show here in town - in fact I just kicked a note back over there about the fact that The Derailers are playing at Lynagh's that same Friday night the weekend of the show!!! great timing, I'd say - Lynagh's is very near the hotel where the steel show is being held.
Keep that in mind and be in touch with me if you're thinking about popping down that weekend - would be good to meet you! - Neil
