When my alarm went off a while back, I heard someone interviewing, (I think), Les Paul.
If I'm not mistaken about who it was, I had the thrill of my life when he started absolutely wailing on his guitar. He had just described how he was going to sing and play in English and then in Hebrew or Yiddish...I can't remember which.
I can't possibly describe how fast he played some really awsome blues/rock-type licks. Each note was distinct and it didn't sound like a single note was played without being picked...all while he was singoing in both languages. I'm not exagerating when I use the word thrilled. What a way to wake up.
Did any of you hear this or have you heard any recent stuff by Les Paul?

Hi Jim. Thanks for the reply. Sometimes I write as incoherantly as I talk. The interviewee was introduced as Les Paul.
What I wasn't sure of was if he was the one singing and playing. It made sense to me that it was since he was being interviewed but I hadn't heard him sing since Mary Ford was with him. Man I'm getting old.
Anyway, I sure wish I could find some recordings like that.
I saw Les doing a commercial recently where he did a few "rock" licks. They sounded kind of like Big Jim Sullivan from the Tom Jones show. I used to watch that show just to get that little bit of playing by Big Jim going into a commercial.
