Videos on The Buck Owens Ranch Show or others cica 1960's

Post by GaryHoetker »

Does anyone know what's out there that can be purchased and how to get them. It's an era of truly great artists (Owens, Price, Jones, to name a few) that would make a fantastic addition to any video library. Thanks.

A friend of mine worked at the tv station that recorded those old Buck Owens shows. He found several in the dumpster and I am now in posession of those. They were the later ones with prerecorded music. However, they are interesting.

I noticed that you live in Blackwell, Ok. I live in Ponca-you can email me-I would be interested in talking with you. I would email you, but your email address is not registered. I used to watch all of those old Buck Owens shows myself and have alot of the audio recorded on reel to reel tape. Once in a while you will see a Buck video on TV and it will say "from the private collection of Buck Owens".

I have been told that Buck Owens owns all the rights and masters for those T.V. shows. But I have also heard a rumour that he may be releasing some of them for sale in the future. I would sure buy them!! Just can't get enough of Tom Brumley and Don Rich!!!

Larry:

Seeing as how you live in Ponca City and all, are you acquainted with my friend Les Gilliam? If so, give him my regards and ask him to E-mail me when he has time. Thank you Larry!
