Strangers LP's
Saw the post about some of Merle's recordings on Tally Records. Those would be great to hear. I was goin' through some of my LP's and found my stranger albums. "Getting to know the Strangers", "Strangers And Friends Honky Tonkin", and Merle Haggard-Introducing My Friends The Strangers. All Three Albums are great. It shows just how far ahead of their time those guys were back then. What a band!!!

There are two more Strangers LP's. One before the ones you listed and one after. I'll have to dig around here to find them to give you the record titles. I've got 'em here someplace. Roy Nichols and Norm Hamlet. Kinda like Leon Rhodes and Buddy Charleton. They each compliment each others playing.

Do any of you guys happen to know if any of these instrumetal albums have ever been reissued on CD ??? And on this same note, I heard awhile back that some label had reissued the two live Hag albums from '69 in Muskogee and '70 in Philadelphia on CD???
I have both vinyls worn to the bone and would love to have these on CD. any thoughts much appreciated.

Regarding the set with the two live albums, yes it exists, it looks like a cheapo comp CD, but it's not. I've only seen it once and didn't twig until someone else picked it up and bought it.
The same people have reissued other albums on one Cd sets, but I can't think of the label....sorry.
