Woke up this morning to the news of the passing of Speck Rhodes.For you folks that are not familiar with this name,he was the comedian/bass player on the old Porter Wagoner shows. He was battling cancer.

Sorry to hear about that. I have a friend that worked with Spec (and John Hughey) on a TV show in northern Arkansas years ago. He always spoke highly of him.

I always enjoyed "Speck" on Porter Waggoner show when he would call his girlfriend on that crank telephone. I think her name was Sadie ? Speck had the wonderful gift of spreading joy and happiness.
