Has anyone tried the new Fender "Stratacoustic" or "Telacoustic" guitars?
These are about the same size and shape as the Stratocaster and the Telecaster, but are thinline acoustics, with a fiberglass body, and a wood top. They have a pickup and controls in them for amplified work too! But they do not have pickguards. Are they worth $300, and How do they sound "sans amp"?
Thanks!

I'm not sure Donny... but I would like to add that I just purchased a Fender Model Delux Nashville Telecaster ( $418 w/ gig bag)... and it is one of the hottest little guitars I have played... and what a great price.
According to Guitar Player magizine which gave it a very good critique... it has as good or better sound then most custom shop teles...
3 tex mex pick ups.. 5 way switch..
and probubly used a lot on Country Music recordings
I bought the arctic white with tortus shell pick guard... lovely guitar.
