Pickup advice wanted

Post by Tony Harris »

More advice wanted -sorry,guys, but I'm new here! I'm thinking of fitting a new pickup to an old (Otwin)lap-steel. I'd like to get the tone of a pedal steel pickup(more modern, brighter-sounding). Any ideas?
Thanks.

I've got to side with Ed on this one...

I just bought a Mellobar with a Lawrence 500 humbucker. Man o man. It's the best steel PU I've ever played. I ordered another neck just like it. Contact Smith Family Music for more information. Ted will steer you straight.
