E9th with diminished using split tuning

Post by Greg Cutshaw »

There's a few different ways to play this. I use the split tuning on string 5 where the A pedal one tone raise is lowered one half tone by the knee lever that lowers the 5th string 1/2 tone. The same thing can be accomplished by using a half pedal push on the A pedal instead of the split.

This pedal/lever/split combo for a Diminished chord also translates directly to S12U in either E9 or B6th modes.

Also to C6th, assuming you have half step raises on strings 3(C) and 4(A) for C6th.

Funn Stuff!
