The Writing On The Wall

Post by Pat Jenkins »

I don't know if anyone can help me with this or not, but, I am looking for the tab to The Mavericks' "Writing On The Wall". This is a killer steel break, and I would love to be able to do it justice...if at all possible. Thanks.

Pat

Pat,
Your right, it is a great song. I did figure out the intro and it's kind of easy but never tried the steel break. I will listen to it tomorrow.

Hi Pat,
Can't seem to find my Mavericks CD to listen to the break. I think I may have dubbed it to a cassette at one time also. I'll keep looking. It would also be nice to know who the steel player was on that cut.

John, I can send you an mp3 of the break, if you like. Our lead guitar player gave me the cd two weeks ago. It is an awesome cd.

Archie, I have looked at the cover and can not find any notes as to the steeler is, but, I miss a lot, to tell you the truth. Could well be Bruce.

This does not tell who played steel on that particular track but, is a good insight to their stuff. http://www.softshoe-slim.com/lists/m/mavericks.html

This is from our good friend, Tony Dingus. Just tried it out, sounds great. Thought everybody else would like to have this, too. Great break. Thanks again, Tony.
