Steve, I was going thru some old stuff & know this goes back a while, but did you ever do any more with this?? I'm just a novice beginner, but the lines you have so far, as Bobby stated, is very pretty, even with my crude hacking. Got anymore?? Thanks...John H.
I haven't touched it since way back when, but I think Jimmy was playing it in D9 tuning, which explains the odd key. I'll try to play around with it some today, but I'm going to be having the pedals up on my guitar today as I monkey with the underbelly...
Steve
His guitar is certainly tuned Lower than E.
There is some super-nice pedal action going on in that song. Not to mention the beautiful tone on the steel.
First part tabbed as I hear it.
(Tune guitar a whole step lower to D9)

Well, this is the way I hear it - or at least the first part that I have so far. I'm sure there's a better way of doing this, but this is what I came up with. By the way, Bengt, it's in G# on the version that I have.
Repeat, add salt to taste...

My tab for this song (4 posts up) is revised considerably. I think I'm a lot closer to what Jimmy D. is doing here, although there is a lot of subtlety going on with the pedal squeezes, etc., that eludes me. I'll have the rest of the song finished when I get back from a trip this weekend.
P.S. This is cool - I couldn't figure it out for the life of me when I originally posted this thread last year!
[This message was edited by Steve Feldman on 17 January 2001 at 11:52 AM.]
