5/16" aluminum trim strips
Hey Builders,
Wondering where is a good place to purchase 5/16" aluminum strips for the trim on a mica cabinet. It's a Rittenberry built Nashville LTD that needs them replaced.
Thanks for the help.

Never found a good source. Probably some metal supplier such as metal supermarkets.com etc. can size it for you. MIght be a store in your area like there is here.
Most of the in stock stuff I find in stores and online is 1/2.
FWIW, Derby Steel used the 1/2 strip trim. I once asked Charlie Stepp why he didn't used the narrower strips common to most other guitars. He said that's the smallest width they come in from the supplier and he saw no need to re-size them.

Thanks for the info Jerry. I am surprised that it's difficult to locate. I believe they are 0.050 thick.Jerry Overstreet wrote: 19 May 2025 12:10 pm Never found a good source. Really not that big of a deal, I can use the existing strips if needed, just thought some fresh ones would be nicer.
