3 way rotary selector

Post by Mark Bennett »

I recently came into possesion of a Sho Bud Crossover. I'm aware that a lot of Steelers dislike the Crossover, I happen to love it. Only problem I have is that the switches are very old and need to be replaced. It has a 3 way rotary neck selector switch and also a toggle switch that seems to be a tone selector. Any ideas where I could get replacement parts and what exactly do I need to replace it with? Like, would any 3 way pickup selector work as a replacement? And what is the purpose of the toggle? Thank you.

On the Crossover I have there is a black slide switch, not a toggle. It is a coil tap for both pickups which thins out the tone a bit to make it more Fender-ish. On E9 it cuts through the mix better. Finding a replacement part for that is not too hard. They’re pretty generic. The rotary switch I’m less sure about.

Thanks, the rotary switch is more the problem, it cuts out sometimes. So I want to replace it, I guess any 3 way pickup selector should work, yeah?
If any one has a suggestion for a good electronic parts supply connection that'd be appreciated.
