Song Book for Windows 10 Laptop

Is anyone using the Song Book type app on a laptop with windows 10 or a Chromebook? All the apps I see on Google are for mobile devices. It's a small window and there's no way to make it full screen. Do you have to have a tablet of some kind to use it?

A Chromebook would possibly run an app you download from Google's Play store. While a Chromebook looks like a laptop computer it is essentially a tablet or smart phone using a Chrome operating system.

Having said all that, I wasn't able to find any songbook apps on the Play store. The music apps listed are for song creation, for example Bandlab or music games.

Hi Jim,

I understand what a Chromebook is compared to a laptop or PC. I tried a few different Android apps, and they run on both the Chromebook and the laptop, but the window they run in is the size of a smartphone on a 13" screen. I found no way to make it run on full screen, so I got a refund on the apps. The guys I've seen using tablets all have iPads and run an app called "Songbook." It works really well to keep a chord chart handy, and it pulls up any song you've set up in the system at will. I'm just tired of carrying around a paper notebook where the pages end up getting torn, stained, or go missing—or watching them blow away in the wind. I hate to buy a whole iPad just to use one app. I don't know, maybe the old-fashioned way is going to have to work for now. I'm not really gigging enough to warrant any kind of new devices to use in a band. Thanks for the input, though—I'll look into what you sent.

For the last ~40 years I have charted all the songs I play. I have tried a few apps & just can't bend them to my needs. I recently discovered that I can drag and drop my files into Libre office impress (free alternative to Ms PowerPoint), and then export the file as html. This file is easily shared with other band mates and runs on every operating system I've tried, it runs in your internet browser like a web page. For a 4 set gig it creates a file ~8 mb so easily shared on a thumb drive or emailed. Depending on your requirements this might be an available alternative. It takes me ~15 minutes to generate a setlist,
