Surfin’ with Satie’s Gnossienne No. 1
I’ve always loved this piano piece by Satie (1890) and it always reminded me of Klezmer music, which I used to enjoy playing very much as guitarist. I worked in the really high energy band for a while is 90s and 00s.
My technique has been evolving into something completely different lately, and now it allows me to play these grace notes that are so crucial to this tune. I thought of playing it straight without the gns, but it just didn’t make it. So, in a fit of creativity, I made the drum loop with MIDI, played bass and guitar and then added steel once I could play it down. This one is true to the score
This is what my next project is all about, only minus the other musicians. I need them to bring it to life.

Bravo, very nice interpretation!

Love Satie
Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous; praise is meet for the upright. Give praise to the Lord with the harp, chant unto Him with the ten-stringed psaltery. Sing unto Him a new song, chant well unto Him with jubilation. For the word of the Lord is true, and all His works are in faithfulness. The Lord loveth mercy and judgement; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

Brilliant. Another hit from Mr. Never-a-neer-miss! Seriously, that is so cool and fine.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I just finished up the arrangement for Claire de Lune today and I am pretty excited about that.
@Doug, I use Videoleap but I have an old iPad and it can be a challenge to layer videos like that. My bass video is totally out of sync and I couldn't see that as I was creating it. Anyway, my content is for fans only and I can't really put too much time (and money) into it, I get so few views. I'm definitely no Doug Beaumier!
