The Fender 400 Beatle Band - One from John, One from Paul

Post by Dennis Montgomery »

Hey all, welcome to the 5th Friday of cover tunes from the Fender 400 Beatle Band! Today we'll highlight one song from John and the other from Paul.

The first is John's "Day Tripper" recorded during the Rubber Soul sessions and released in 1965 as a double A-side single with "We Can Work it Out".

Next up is arguably Paul's most complex Beatle song, "You Never Give Me Your Money". This was especially fun recreating the middle of the song guitar solo on Fender 400. Recorded in 1969, it became the first song of the Abbey Road "Beatles Medley" that closed the final Beatle album to be recorded - but not released, "Let it Be" was recorded before "Abbey Road" but released after :)
