nashville # system

Post by Rene Brosseau »

Would anyone know if there is a website to go to when you want the numbers to a song instead of the chords? Thanks

I know of some sites that have backing tracks or play along tracks with jazz and standards that are in numbers that I can refer you to, but I don't know of any offhand for country stuff.

Never mind. Those I just checked are no longer available!

If you just Google Nashville number system, A lot of information is available. There is a site Jam Play has every fret transposing cords, And another Praise Charts will come up with C-D-E-F-G-A-B Transition charts.

With one of these charts you can take any key/chord marked song and change the chords to numbers, Allowing easy changing key of song.

This would be real handy when working with Jeff Newman's lesson, Give Me An Intro.

Check out songbookpro app. You can download any song with the chords & lyrics
to it. But go to setups & change it to Nashville numbers. Really cool app

I use OnSong on my IPad to help me recall words and chords and it can display the chords most anyway you want including Nashville numbers.

If you have an apple product, try the Nashville Number System app. I’ve found it really handy.

I've got just the thing for you. Try a Facebook group called Bill Fergusons Band sharing charts. All in number systems. Just ask what chart you are after and he, or others, may provide it. It is mostly steel guitar or jazz standards played by steel players at steel shows or elsewhere.
