Is this Tablature?

Post by Shoshanah Marohn »

Going through my dad's stuff, we found what seems to be a book he was writing or maybe something for his own personal use. We don't know. It pre-dates the Steel Guitar Forum, for sure. He never published it anywhere, but I'm not sure if he remembered he had it.

Is this Tablature? If so, should I scan the whole book and post it somewhere to share with you all? Would that be a helpful or interesting thing for steel players?

Here's an example page:

Yes, this is tab. It would be great if you posted all of it where it could be accessed. If would be great benefit to some just starting out. Looks very professional.

Yes this is great because it has the musical staff above it so you would know what kind of note is being played. Actually I wished all tabs was written this way.

Yes. Very clean and clear, too. Looks like good work. If you were up to it, posting would be welcome. Thanks!
