Mike Johnson and 45 RPM Band - New CD

Post by Mike Johnson »

Hello Friends!
I haven’t posted on the Forum in awhile but I still enjoy visiting here. Thanks for all the nice words everyone has shared about me over the years. I appreciate you all!

Some years back, a few friends and I started a band called 45 RPM. It was basically for our own enjoyment and a chance to play the country music we love. We hoped people would appreciate it, but either way, we were determined to do it and we did! Long story short, it has evolved into something really special. 45 RPM plays live at the world famous STATION INN and those appearances have become events that so many folks really enjoy and support.

We have finally finished our first 45 RPM CD. If you love “real country music”, I promise you will love this project! We have taken old country songs and put new arrangements to them, with lots of solos and fantastic vocals. It’s a fresh approach to country music, but still paying tribute to those old records we all love so very much. I produced the record and I am so proud of the way it turned out. Jimmy, our front man says 45 RPM plays “country music like it was, before it got like it is”. (Lol)

If you would like to find out more about The 45 RPM Story & its members, you can go to my WEBSITE, www.mikejohnsonproductions.com and click on the 45 RPM PAGE. If you want to purchase a CD, you can do so on the STORE page. We only have a limited amount of CDs and not sure of a reorder at this point. We aren’t funded by a record label so we appreciate the support from you folks that love this music as much as we do.

Thank you all so much!
Sincerely,
MIKE JOHNSON

Just ordered mine! Even if you don’t order the CD, go to Mike’s site and read the info on how 45RPM came about and the bios for the players. Very interesting.

I just received my copy. I was expecting it to be great, but more than that, I was totally blown away. Great songs, great arrangements and great performances by great musicians. You all have CDs that you have listened to a couple of times, then put away. This one will stay in your CD player to be enjoyed over and over.

It needs to be said, this is one fine CD with a great collection of songs, a seriously top notch production. I ordered it on the 20th it arrived yesterday being the 22nd ! I took time out this morning from Christmas Music and had a quick listen to the tracks . This will be on the daily playlist once Christmas has said goodnight !

As Steel players I want to suggest that we should support Mike and 45 RPM and grab a copy.

Thx Mike, Joannie and 45RPM for a great offering !
