Softly, As I Leave You

Post by John A. Russell »

Hey all

Does anyone remember "Softly As I Leave You" by Matt Munro?

The melody is SO WELL written. Sounds real nice on PSG.

I hesitate to offer the tab, as it may not be a song that many steelers know.

Kind Regards

I remember the song. Not sure how it would sound as a pedal steel piece.

Somehow, I have it in my mind, or heard it somewhere, that Santo was messing around with this tune and came up with Sleepwalk... Could be an urban legend tho.
