Nice fellow, innovative craftsman of fine pedal steel guitars. I met Lamar in the 90s I guess at the St. Louis convention demoing one of his keyless D10s.
I played it off and on throughout the weekend and we had several conversations. I ended up calling him a few weeks later and bought that guitar. He was always quick to answer questions and help with any issues.
I used to get Christmas cards from him and his wife. Nice folks.
