Peavey parts difficulty
Anyone else having trouble getting parts out of Peavey?
I'm on week three of daily phone communication attempts to the parts department to no avail. I get the same recording whereby I can leave a message. I have left many. Previous e-mails go unanswered.
End of an era.

Do a google search. There are other sources for Peavey parts.
Here's one I found doing a search for "Peavey amp repair parts".

Good to know Jack. I'll bookmark that site.
That site has a lot of Peavey stuff but not this particular slide pot.
After much research, I figured out it is a Panasonic part that was discontinued in 1992. Hat's off to Peavey as they have it in stock. One time when I called Peavey tech support and they answered the phone, they came up with a Peavy part number then transferred me to the parts department, where I've been stalled trying to reach them for weeks now.
I mean I get.
Can you imagine being a company with as many products as Peavey has cranked out over the years and trying to support them all?
I know from my own experience as a design engineer - part obsolescence is an issue I face every week.
However, it's very frustrating knowing the part is here in the US at the Peavey warehouse and likely nowhere else in the world, yet I can't get them to answer the phone or call me back.
Down in Mississippi they are still in the throws of covid and if you read the fine print at the Peavey site this may accounts for the lack of response.
Thankfully here in VT the citizenry embraced the vaccine. We have very few cases now and.....I'm getting gigs again!

John, thanks for the tip but the ones I need are 60mm 10k.
and 60mm 100k, Peavey part numbers 31191065 and 31191064 respectively. These are used on the PV10 Mixer.
I already purchased the wrong pots on ebay. They looked exactly the same, however it turns out they have a different pinout and the lever is too short.

Still no call back from Peavey on parts. However the power amp board I sent in has been fixed by Peavey and is on its' way back to me.
Ok, maybe I just need to send them a letter requesting parts?
or -Does anyone know the name of the Peavey employee who generally represents the steel guitar community?
I've forgotten his name but recall seeing his posts here on the forum.
Maybe he can help me penetrate the Peavey parts department.

Roger Crimm is for now handling customer service and parts.
He is super busy. I know that is not an excuse, but please bear with them.
The best way to reach Roger is: roger.crimm@Peavey.com
