Newbies take note: Casey just gave you the keys to the kingdom.

The first 3 examples, especially, are the bread-and-butter foundation of so much steel playing: the major scale with a harmony note.

To orient these examples to chord positions you probably already know, the first one is based off of the pedals-down position for C.

The second begins at the pedals-up position.

The third one I think of as starting from the A+F position (because you can replace the E-lower moves that are listed there with A+F, but two frets down. For key of C, you could start fret 11 with A+F and walk up from there. But that's just my mental framework for finding it on the neck -- I most often play it using the E-lower, as listed.

Feel free to mix and match those scale positions after you learn each one individually...
