Mike inserts a real nice 13b9 chord at 1:38 cool Franklin pedal change at 3:14.

That track link from Roy comes from Mike's solo CD "Mike Johnson" from 2007. A whole heap of great playing, and if you felt like working up his licks, probably a lifetime of learning and insights. Highly recommended. Also his "Almost Midnight" album.

That was more steel in one song than many of us have heard in several songs combined. And the great thing about it is, that’s just a drop in the bucket of the creative playing Mike has. Friends, how can one get Mike’s Cd?

Did ya'll even notice the last part of his 1st Solo on "Another Bridge to Burn"; he Twined him self on the track; like Hughey used to do and Sonny...etc.
Sounded great.

Hi Ricky. Yeah that twin part was somethin' else.Mike is so original but still pays tribute to other players with their classic licks.

Yeah Joe; I do love that sound as I have done that myself(me and tommy detamore being the producers makes it easy) Like this intro and solo>

and this too>

I had to do something to take my mind off those songs, as she wrote every song on those two records about Me; her Now Ex-husband.
That's Country music right there...real life.
