Tech. Problem

Post by JW Day »

I need advice from some of you elctronic folks. I have A SKH Legrande that has started to make A slight popping sound while being played on the E-9th only.I have changed everything from the guitar out, including the Amps. A dear friend has offered to help in changing the pick up, just to test before buying A new one. Being somewhat of an electrician, I understand connections and wiring paths, Thanks, JW Day

This will probably sound stupid but a pickup that is too close to the strings will make a popping sound when the string(s) come in contact with it as you play- as well as if your hand bounces on the strings with a bit of vigor that will also happen~~

I had this problem and it was where the pickup leads were connected to the pick up. On the Lagrande, you need to be careful not to stress the lead wires when adjusting pick up height.
