i have a friend who is looking for a shure sm58 classic mike. it has tall red letters that says shure and was made in 1990 for one year only. please help with this did shure make a mike like this?

Boy I don't think that was ever a stock mic. My company has been selling Shure mics since before 1990 and I have never seen any variant of the stock SM58. In fact, a friend of mine was on the team that designed that world-standard microphone. Maybe your friend is thinking of a different model. If I am not mistaken, there was a PE series mic that had a red logo.

mr furlong. thank you for your response, i have a shure pe15d with shure in red letters they are not tall. i bought this mike in 1990 in a pawn shop. so this should be the only shure mike with red letters?
