Anyone around Boston use a Carter Starter?
I'm interested in hearing one before I buy it. Been lugging around my old beat-up Sho-Bud, and it's getting tiresome. That Sho-Bud sounds great, but I'd love to get another guitar that's smaller, lighter, and easier to set up. I know the Carter probably can't compete with the Sho-Bud, but for those gigs where there isn't even room to set up - it'd be just the ticket.

Hahaha, not really thinking of getting rid of the Sho-Bud(though anything is open to negotiation!), just want a lighter gigging guitar.
I actually just tried one in Guitar Center, it played and sounded surprisingly well. Unfortunately they couldn't find the case, and it was shop-worn so I didn't buy it.

Hey guys, long time no see! Patrick, glad you still have that Stringmaster. Yeah it's the Professional, it's heavy. Though it doesn't stink, the case sure does!
Tommy, I haven't made the Vegas trip in 3 years now, hope things are well. Now you're confusing me with more options, I'll have to check out the GFI.

Chris
I have a GFI SD10 and love it. Bought it from Bobbe. It's pretty light compared to the other guitars I have helped lug around. If you are interested in trying it let me know, or come to the next Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association jam in February. My instructor has a Sierra that is pretty light and sounds nice.
Glad to hear from more steelers up here.

So where's Yaz? Isn't he a forum member?
Ever ponder what are the odds that Bucky Dent and Aaron Boone have the same middle name, Bucky F...ing Dent and Aaron F...ing Boone? I never knew their middle names but it seems that Bostonians stumbled on this fact.
Stuff like this used to be more fun before you guys ruined it all in '04. Party poopers.
[This message was edited by Jon Light on 25 November 2006 at 06:38 PM.]

Is that your "the Professional" you're talking about?
