YouTubes to CD

Post by Michael Stephens »

Hi there - here's what I do:

1) use a program to convert the audio from the YouTube to a MP3 file. I use:

https://www.mediahuman.com/youtube-to-m ... pdate.html

2) Once you've got the MP3 of the audio from the YouTube, you can burn it to a CD. Of course, it's not super high quality sound, but plenty good enough for most purposes.

Easy and intuitive; converts to mp3 (audio only) or mp4 (video and audio).
blah, blah, blah.

I use a program called Bandicam that captures the video and at the same time if you choose the option makes an audio only file. No conversion software required. I use the 24 bit PCM uncompressed Wav files format. No frequency loss. From there you can do whatever you want with it. Professional DAWs have a feature that automatically rips the audio from a video. I do that too sometimes if I already have a video that needs audio doctoring.

Hi Brian and everyone,

A student recommended an app to me, Irealpro, and it has been a game changer to help me with practice. I hope it can help others as well. It's basically a band in box but very robust--runs on Iphone, Android, Ipad. I am not affiliated with the software company. I think the price is about $10.

Good luck with your practice and playing,
Bill

You can use audacity, a free and reliable program, to record any audio that is being played back on your computer. Makes no difference if it is streaming audio or video. I have been doing this for several years without a hitch. Follow this link:

Once captured you can save them and transfer them to whatever media you want to use.

For Mac users like me, I use a terrific program I highly recommend, YouTube to MP3. I pay an extra $10/year for TurboBoost, songs download in about 5 seconds and automatically get named and even added to iTunes.

Not sure how song downloads that way can be legal, but it works fab.

irealpro

Post by Tommy Auldridge »

The irealpro thing looks really handy. I watched a youtube from the link above, and then it was followed by another youtube with Dan Baker showing how to program songs to my tablet. I guess it's much like band in a box, but for $10. how can you go wrong. It looks like it will take up most of the rest of my life, trying to figure it out. But, if I can get the hang of it, it should be fun to get some simple country songs in there, with no real fancy chord changes. If any of you have already started working with this, and can share any experience, that would be a welcome help. I guess my next step is to figure out how to get it. Thanks, Tommy.....

irealpro download?

Post by Tommy Auldridge »

I've been trying to figure out how to get the irealpro downloaded. I go to the app store, but it just seems to be a dead end. I guess I thought there would be some way to enter my credit card number, and pay the $13.99 and then I could have it on my tablet. Can somebody help a stupid old man?
There is just something I'm missing.

Well I finally got it by going to Google play. I've been messing around with it for about two hours, without making much progress. It would probably be very simple for a teenager, But I'm just not very good with this kind of stuff. I plan to keep watching youtube things that show you how to program your own Songs. One thing I've noticed right from the start, is the bass guitar and drum sounds will have to be changed. They don't sound like just basic country ballad type things. Oh well, this will give me plenty to do till I'm no longer self quarantined. Maybe June or July. Tommy.....
