Tom Baker with Sierra Steel great service !

Post by Colm Chomicky »

Called Tom Baker this week to ask if he had a replacement part for an older discontinued Sierra model. Tom was able to find the part in stock and this replacement part even has some improvements over the original to reduce wear. Total cost for this part and some companion parts to the assembly was less that $25 with shipping. A real bargain when you figure Tom had to do a little searching through the old stock to find this part.

In the past, I have had only one other minor mechanical issue with the guitar and it was fixed with a 15-cent stainless steel cap screw which Tom offered to send at no charge, but also told me I could get these at a hardware store because he tries to use parts that are fairly standard.

Your parts order may have been 'small' but...

TOM is a MILLION DOLLAR MAN when it comes to customer service. You don't find many folks like him any more. He's the kinda guy you can call friend and feel really comfortable about it.

Brendan,
Time Lord. I've been in a self-imposed exile. I had to look that one up. I did not realize there was an actor named Tom Baker and a fictional race of people known as Time Lords.

That's mighty tall coming from Jim. Image

Myself, I'd have trouble relating to Tom as anything other than Doctor Who. I fear I would think he can accomplish anything with a sonic screwdriver. Maybe he can!

Tom Baker and Mike Brown set the standard for courtesy, product knowledge, and service. I speak from experience with both.
