natioal lap steel
I came across a National 6 string with 3 legs and I know nothing about them, their value or how to get an age of it. The serial number is T 76486
it's in decent shape as well as the case.Any help would be appreciated.

Year of manufacture is 1962 according to the serial number.
National made several models. Some were fairly plain with mother-of-toilet-seat covering, others, such as the National Dynamic were fancier, more colorful. Those would be worth more. Any all-original 6 string National steel guitar with legs and case, in VG working condition would be worth at least $225 IMHO... and up to $500 or so, depending on the model and the condition. I've seen mint condition Dynamics sell for $700, and I've seen National lap steels (no legs) sell for $130. If your's has legs it's probably one of the higher end models. Do you have any pictures of the guitar?
