I picked up a D-10 MSA Millenium at the last TSGA show and thought it about time to offer a few comments. So far, I've barely had to turn a tuner on either end of the guitar since I unpacked it.It still has the original strings on it and no breakage yet. Even the girl singer in the band remarked how good it sounded on the first gig I did with it. I'm mighty impressed with the way it plays, the way it sounds, the way it's built (every part could be put in a frame as an example of first-class machine work), and its immunity to temperature change tuning issues. It's very sensitive to where you pick; a lot of tonal variation is available depending on how far down the neck you play, from bright and punchy to very sweet farther to the left. E9 and C6 have distinct timbres, one of the reasons I chose a D-10 over a U-12. It has tons of sustain and the individual notes remain clear all the way up the neck. It sounds great through every amp I've used so far from my own rig to a StereoSteel rig, a Fender 410 Bassman Reissue and even a roland JC 120. I'm quite happy with this instrument, and I can even take it on the subway without herniating myself.

Having moved a contrabass and Gallien Kruger amp
throught the NYC subway many times,
I can REALLY apreciate this last comment!

I have tried a few of these new MSA's
and loved each of them.
And I recorded on Kay Das's classic wood one
in Singapore and liked that a lot too.

Reece and crew do a fine job, fer sure!
